Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement embedded software for industrial radio and drive systems. You will work with cross-functional teams on safety-critical solutions and contribute to hardware-software integration.

Responsibilities include developing in C/C++, assembling for microprocessor-based systems, and applying test-driven development within a structured workflow.

Qualifications

• Design, implement and test embedded software for industrial or drive systems.
• Proficient in embedded C/C++ and Assembly for microprocessor-based systems.
• Experience with USB/RS232/CAN/SPI/I2C communications.
• Experience with safety-critical software development and TDD practices.
• RF communications experience (BLE/Wi-Fi) is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot hardware.
• Familiarity with ARM processors and RTOS environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement embedded software for industrial radio and drive applications.
• Develop embedded software architectures aligned with product specs and performance goals.
• Advise on best practices for design, testing, integration, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to support software-hardware integration.
• Coordinate testing activities and ensure reliability and safety requirements.
