Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a senior-level Embedded Software Engineer to join a multi-site team delivering mission-critical software for autonomous flight systems. You will develop, integrate, and test embedded software using C/C++, Java, Python, and Bash, and work with ArduPilot/PX4 and sensor integrations in a military aerospace context.

Collaboration with hardware and software teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development using C, C++, Java, Python, and Bash.
• Experience with autonomous flight systems (ArduPilot/PX4) and UAS operations.
• Proficient with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development.
• Ability to obtain Secret DoD security clearance and 25% travel.
