Job summary

Serco in the United States seeks an Experienced Electronics Technician for on-site NSWC PCD work in Panama City, FL. You will design mixed-signal hardware, integrate MCUs, and develop detailed schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring SI/PI and EMI/EMC compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of similar/related experience.
• 3 years of experience in embedded hardware design and full product lifecycle development.
• Extensive experience in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition, or equivalent).
• Strong fundamental knowledge of both digital and analog circuit design.
• Experience with embedded communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232/485, CAN, Ethernet, USB).
• Moderate proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems microcontroller programming.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mixed-signal hardware systems including MCUs and power management.
• Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using industry tools.
• Ensure SI/PI and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Implement microprocessors in designs using C/C++.
• Run tests with Spice tools.
• Assemble, test, and bring up hardware prototypes.
• Use lab equipment to verify performance.
• Develop hardware test plans, thermal and reliability testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues to component level.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation.
