Job summary
Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead embedded hardware and firmware development for PPE products. You will drive the product’s development from concept through testing, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and reliability teams to deliver robust solutions.
You will design test plans, mentor junior engineers, and ensure designs meet UL/CE/ANSI standards while using lab equipment to validate performance.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- 5+ years of related design experience in electronics.
- Expertise in C programming and MCU peripherals.
- Experience with power electronics design and control.
- Knowledge of sensor selection and integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects.
- Develop test plans/procedures and test cases for embedded systems.
- Communicate progress and risks up the chain and across functions.
- Create Work Breakdown Structure and drive milestones.
- Drive schedules to meet key project metrics and timelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide a small team.
- Operate laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition).
- Track projects to ensure schedule adherence and process compliance.
- Design and qualify new designs to UL/CE/ANSI standards.
- Exposure to power electronics; knowledge of hall sensors and IMUs.
