Job summary

General Motors is seeking engineers to deliver high-quality embedded software for electrification controls, focusing on High Voltage Energy Transfer. You will design, develop, and implement Physics and Controls requirements, and use automated testing across controllers, systems, and vehicles. The role emphasizes BDD and TDD to promote quality and collaboration.

The Hybrid Work Policy requires 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with reporting to a local office. Multiple positions are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and required years of experience.
• 5 years as Software Engineer, Controls Engineer, or related occupation; or 3 years with a Master’s.
• 3 years experience with C programming and embedded controls/software development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software for embedded controls systems in electrification (High Voltage Energy Transfer).
• Design, develop, and implement Physics and Controls requirements to improve software for mechatronic controls, diagnostics, and controller communication.
• Utilize automated test tools in build environments, test benches, and vehicles to verify functionality at Controller, System, and Vehicle levels.
• Embrace BDD and TDD to ensure Software Built-In Quality and enable collaboration between developers, testers, and stakeholders.
