Job summary
General Motors Corporation in Milford, Michigan is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to define, design, and develop control software for vehicle mechatronic embedded systems, focusing on propulsion thermal management and diagnostics in an agile VMEC environment.
You will work with HIL tests, CAN communications, and model-based tools like MATLAB/Simulink to implement, test, and validate features from story definition to DoD. Hybrid work: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Qualifications
- Experience with HIL integration and regression testing for ECUs.
- Embedded ECU testing on machine/test bench with CAN tools.
- Proficient in C and Python for automated tests.
- Experience building CAN data analyses in CANalyzer/CANoe.
- Modeling with MATLAB/Simulink for ML/plant simulation.
Responsibilities
- Defines and develops control software for VMEC propulsion thermal systems.
- Performs SME duties for Scrum team content and ensures DoD alignment.
- Translates strategy into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinates with PO/Program events and validates test objectives.
