Job summary

Cintal is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop and maintain software for energy electronics and engine control applications. You will design, code, and validate embedded systems in C/C++ while collaborating across engineering teams.

Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Development is required. The role emphasizes software quality, troubleshooting, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for automotive, industrial, or energy electronics applications.
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++ and real-time software.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Development (MBD).
  • Knowledge of CAN/J1939 and embedded communication protocols.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
  • Develop and maintain embedded control software for energy electronics and engine control applications.
  • Design, code, test, and debug embedded systems using C/C++.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++ .
  • Experience in embedded software development, integration, testing, and debugging .
  • Knowledge of embedded control systems and real-time software applications.
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Development (MBD) .
  • Experience with software validation, verification, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CAN, J1939 , and other embedded communication protocols.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, requirements management, and version control.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of automotive, engine controls, or energy electronics systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
DESIRED SKILLS:
