Honeywell Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Sr Advanced Software Engineer to join the engineering team and drive design, development, integration, verification, and release of software for Avionics Displays systems and frameworks.

The role requires deep C++ expertise in embedded and real-time environments, strong problem-solving, and the ability to mentor early-career engineers while coordinating across cross-functional teams to meet certification and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 8 years of software development experience in embedded/real-time environments.
• 8 years of hands-on C++ development in embedded/real-time systems.
• Experience designing architectures, object-oriented designs and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engineering tasks to meet requirements.
• Implement features and coordinate across software activities.
• Develop and capture software and system requirements for features/subsystems.
• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain avionics software.
• Test, debug, integrate, and verify software and systems for compliance.
• Support builds, integration, and release activities.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, quality, certification, and program management.
• Support certification and customer acceptance.
