Job summary
Caterpillar Advanced Power Technologies is seeking an Embedded Product Analytics Senior Engineer in Houston, TX. You will transform embedded system data into meaningful insights that drive performance and reliability, using model-based design and control methodologies.
You will collaborate with software, systems, and controls teams to develop analytics-enabled embedded solutions and support long-term product support and validation. This role requires onsite work and may involve travel.
Qualifications
- Software development for embedded analytics across product lifecycle.
- Interprets embedded data to evaluate behavior, trends and health.
- Applies model-based design, simulation and control methods.
- Ensures traceability between requirements, models and implemented solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support embedded software for analytics and monitoring.
- Apply model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and control design.
- Analyze embedded data to assess performance and health for continuous improvement.
- Implement condition monitoring and advanced controls to improve diagnostics and reliability.
- Perform cross-domain analysis across hardware, software, and controls interfaces.
- Ensure requirements alignment and traceability throughout development.
