Caterpillar's Cat Digital Analytics & Applied AI team seeks a Senior Data Scientist to drive growth with advanced analytics, ML, and AI. You will guide analytical approaches, mentor teammates, and deliver data-driven outcomes for customers, dealers, and the business.

You will partner with business leaders and analytics teams to translate complex data into actionable insights and scalable digital solutions, shaping the future of Caterpillar's digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• Analytics experience or graduate-equivalent experience.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and data-driven insights.
• Applied AI techniques and advanced statistical methods in production environments.
• Strong Python, SQL, and data visualization skills.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
• Experience leading analytics projects and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple analytics and applied AI initiatives using ML methods to solve business challenges.
• Translate business needs into insights, models, and digital solutions with stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor data scientists in development, validation, and deployment of analytical solutions.
• Research and apply new analytical techniques to improve outcomes and expand capabilities.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
