Job summary

Vic.ai in the United States is seeking a senior engineer to build and scale the core services behind our treasury platform. The role anchors on Elixir, with ownership spanning requirements, backend, frontend, and production operations.

You will design, build, and operate Elixir/Phoenix services, own features end-to-end, and ensure reliability through observability and CI/CD. You’ll collaborate with founders and a small, senior team across treasury, product, and data/AI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Elixir/Phoenix.
• Strong PostgreSQL and distributed systems knowledge.
• End-to-end ownership from backend to frontend without handoffs.
• Fluent English and ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Elixir/Phoenix services, APIs, data pipelines, and async processing.
• Own features end-to-end from product framing through the frontend delivery.
• Prioritize reliability with observability, monitoring, and operational rigor.
• Leverage AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to shape architecture and code reviews.
