Job summary

You will interpret specifications, design test fixtures, and automate tests while producing detailed documentation and test summaries.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary testing, non-destructive inspection, and independent work within a high-performance team.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
• Strong electronics background and test mindset.
• Experience designing and building test fixtures and using test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply electronic and mechanical theory to test components for electrical, mechanical, and environmental characteristics.
• Perform failure analysis of components ranging from resistors to microelectronic devices incorporating electrical, physical and materials analysis.
• Interpret Collins specifications, vendor datasheets, and Mil-Standards.
• Define test setups, build fixtures, generate programs for automated testing, create detailed documentation, and produce test summaries.
• Characterize components utilizing a wide range of electronic test equipment in the performance of failure verification testing.
• Communicate test results, resolve vendor correlation issues, and recommend solutions.
