Job summary

AMETEK Inc. in Rochester, NY is seeking a Senior Technician to conduct electronics/mechanical tests on systems and PCBs. You will troubleshoot to component level and document failures, with cross-training across products within the unit.

You will work with engineers and production teams, reading schematics and test procedures, and communicating effectively to resolve issues. A 4-year degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in electronics/engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as an electronic technician/engineer.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret test schedules, orders, manuals, schematics, and procedures.
• Provide technical backup and hands-on assistance to operate and maintain equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, test and repair products; solder SMT parts as needed.
• Test functional performance of systems/subassemblies per procedures/drawings.
• Connect units to test equipment like signal generators and meters.
• Analyze test results, document failures, and record data.
