Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to support threat device operations and CUAS test events. You will configure, test, and maintain RF/electronic gear, ensuring readiness for field exercises and data collection.

The role requires 10+ years in electronics support, travel, and the ability to obtain necessary licenses and a Secret Interim clearance. Experience with UAS and drone systems is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related electronics support experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required training, licensing, and designations.
• Commitment to obtaining Part 107 drone pilot license for test events.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% CONUS/OCONUS.
• Ability to obtain Secret Interim clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Support threat device operations: configuration, readiness verification, staging, inventory control, maintenance, and post-test accountability.
• Serve as UAS pilot or support technician for CUAS test events, including obtaining required pilot certifications.
• Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain RF and electronic test equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair RF systems, electronic assemblies, cables, modules, and antennas.
• Coordinate with test directors, engineers, range personnel, safety personnel, logistics, and government leads for field execution readiness.
• Assist with target logistics and instrumentation modifications for data collection and remote use.
• Provide technical support to engineers for diagnosing system issues and collect vital test data.
• Attend planning meetings, schedule sessions, and debriefs, contributing to improved field execution and data quality.
• Support tactical vehicle driver duties and operate across lab, warehouse, range, and outdoor environments with travel to field test locations.
