Job summary

nLIGHT-DEFENSE Systems, Inc. is seeking an Electronics and Integration Technician in Longmont, CO. The role focuses on cable and harness assembly, PCB testing, and system integration to meet strict performance and workmanship standards.

All applicants must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance; preference given to those with existing clearance. Onsite work with strong emphasis on documentation and lab tool maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in copper and fiber cable builds
• Proven PCB intake and testing experience, documenting failures
• Experience with electronics kitting, labeling and traceability
• Ability to read and apply engineering docs including CAD models
• Familiarity with validating electronic assemblies and system checks
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform PCB intake and validation, document failures and assist with in-house modifications
• Assemble & update copper and fiber cables for lab setups and system integration
• Kit and track integration materials from intake through final assembly
• Execute system integration following engineering diagrams and CAD
• Support assembly validation and ensure performance compliance
• Maintain EE lab tools and coordinate equipment calibration
