Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) is seeking a Product Development Lead to guide a functional team of engineers in developing, testing, and implementing electronics products. The role demands technical excellence, strategic leadership, and a focus on mentoring engineers to build a high-performing team.

You will report to the Electrical Product Development Manager and operate in Simsbury, CT, contributing to mission-critical systems while ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets

Qualifications

• BS/MS in an engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 6 years in electronics product development with team leadership experience.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical specifications and work in a fast-paced DoD/ITAR environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a functional team of engineers from concept to production of electronics products.
• Develop team strategy to deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
• Review technical requirements, drawings, tests, and design reviews; drive risk assessments and mitigations.
• Mentor engineers and build a high-performing, compliant team with rigorous processes.
