Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Electronics/Principal Electronics Networking Engineer for on-site work in San Diego, CA, or Palmdale, CA. The role demands a Top Secret clearance and provides a challenging path within the Avionics Integration Organization.

Design and maintain network infrastructure, collaborate with engineers, and support datacenter configurations. The selected candidate will work full-time on-site with up to 25% travel and no remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with related engineering experience or Master’s in STEM with experience; PhD with related experience acceptable.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliant certification or ability to obtain (e.g., CCNA Security, Security+CE, CISSP).
• Experience with TCP/IP, IPv4, VLANs, routing protocols, and security features.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network infrastructure components (Routers/Switches/Firewalls).
• Monitor and optimize network performance.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standards.
