Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer Electronics - Networks in San Diego, CA. You will shape mission network solutions, develop architecture, manage requirements, and verify allocated interfaces in a cross-disciplinary team.

The role entails designing network architectures, performing integration and TRL assessments, and collaborating with program stakeholders. Clear DoD clearance and on-site work with possible hybrid telework are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5+ years of related engineering experience (LV3) or Master's with 3+ years.
• Active DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II (or higher) certification (e.g., CCNA Security or Security+CE).
• Solid understanding of Cisco IOS and IP4 network design, subnetting, and dynamic routing (OSPF/EIGRP).
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches; DMVPN/GRE/IPSEC; on-network defense systems; Windows/Linux network configurations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture.
• Design and develop network architecture; perform integration and testing; analyze performance and interfaces.
• Trade studies and documenting subsystem architectures; evaluate TRL and performance.
• Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to integrate network solutions.
