Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer for Electronic Assembly / PCBA at the Northford, CT factory. The role drives automation and manual process performance from NPI to mature production, focusing on safety, quality, FPY, equipment reliability, cost, and on-time delivery.

You will work with Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Maintenance on data‑driven processes with global applicability.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in electronic assembly/PCBA production.
Hands-on knowledge of SMT, soldering, inspection, test, automation and defect analysis.
Experience with SPC, DOE, CPk, PFMEA and structured problem solving.
Experience with NPI, process validation, equipment qualification and engineering change control.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English and work with global teams.

Responsibilities

Own and improve automated and manual electronic assembly processes including through-hole insertion, soldering, cleaning, depaneling, and inspection.
Develop and maintain process specifications, setup sheets, control plans, PFMEAs and work instructions.
Lead DfM/DfA/DfT reviews, tooling readiness, process validation and capability studies.
Use SPC, DOE and root-cause analysis to improve FPY, OEE, throughput and labor productivity.
Train and mentor engineers, technicians and operators; maintain strong documentation and change control.
