Job summary

Jobot, a hands-on manufacturing consulting firm in Owatonna, MN, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with 5+ years in electronics manufacturing, including PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, IPC Class 3 soldering, and ISO 9001 quality systems.

You will lead process improvements, create procedures and labor standards, support PCB assembly and sheet metal fabrication, and collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales to drive production readiness for new products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, including PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, IPC Class 3 soldering standards, and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, workflows, and production efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, and DFM principles.
• Develop manufacturing procedures, work instructions, labor standards, and Bills of Operations.
• Support PCB assembly, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and electronic product manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.
• Perform supplier audits, source inspections, capacity planning, and cost analysis.
• Drive corrective actions, process improvements, and production readiness for new products.
