Job summary

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technical Supervisor to lead the ALS Electronics Maintenance group, directing technicians and coordinating preventive maintenance, budgets, and staffing to support safe, reliable operations.

The role includes strategic planning, policy input, and leadership across administrative and technical activities within the Division and Lab. A BS in Electronics/Electrical Engineering and strong supervisory experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all technical, administrative, and leadership operations of the group, including budget planning, personnel, salary administration, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate long-range goals for technical operations and staffing across ALS electronics maintenance.
• Supervise and develop electronic maintenance staff and technologists to meet reliability targets.
• Lead safety and compliance with NFPA 70E and lab policies in all maintenance activities.
• Participate in department and division committees and strategic policy discussions.
• Maintain effective liaison with senior management and project teams to align priorities.
