Job summary

Ultimate Staffing seeks an SMT Maintenance Engineer to join a client in Milpitas, CA. This full-time, direct-hire role focuses on reliability and continuous improvement of SMT, Wave Soldering, and Conformal Coating equipment, partnering with Production and Engineering to maximize uptime and process stability.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience maintaining automated electronics manufacturing equipment in CM/EMS environments, with strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maintenance engineering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with SMT, Wave Soldering, and Conformal Coating equipment.
• Experience using CMMS for maintenance planning and documentation.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues.
• Experience in CM/EMS environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Respond quickly to failures to minimize downtime and document actions.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
• Support RCA activities and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute scheduled maintenance plans and monitor OEE metrics.
