Job summary

EV.Careers in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to own the electronics side of new product development for a small underwater robotics team. You’ll handle schematic capture, PCB design in Altium, motor drive, battery strategies, embedded firmware, and rugged sealed enclosures for hardware that ships to Navy and industry customers.

You will ship real hardware on a fast-moving, small team where the designer brings it from concept to production, with opportunities to work directly

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on electronics design experience on shipping products.
• Real power electronics or motor drive experience on production hardware.
• Embedded firmware fluency at register level, not just app layer.
• Workbench debugging with oscilloscope and logic analyzer.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB design in Altium and transition from other tools as needed.
• Design and validate DC power distribution and motor drive for underwater thrusters.
• Write and debug embedded firmware on ARM Cortex-M, STM32 or similar.
• Design sealed and pressure-rated electronics for underwater operation.
• Integrate sensors, comms modules, and control systems into finished product.
• Take a board from concept through bring-up, validation, and production release.
