Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr. Electronics Engineer to lead the design, verification, and commercialization of complex electrical systems and electronic medical devices in Lebanon, TN.

You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations to guide products from concept to market. You will own PCB development, power electronics, analog/digital circuits, and embedded hardware, while ensuring compliance with FDA/IEC standards and EMI/EMC performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in product development.
• Experience designing complex electronic systems, including PCB development, power electronics, analog and digital circuits, and embedded hardware.
• Experience in regulated environments with design controls and formal verification processes.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, IEC standards, and EMI/EMC requirements.
• Proficiency with Altium for PCB design and hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of electrical systems and PCBs for medical devices.
• Develop and evaluate system-level electrical designs including power distribution, grounding, isolation, and EMI/EMC performance.
• Perform trade-off analyses balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for electrical issues.
• Plan and oversee design verification activities including functional, environmental, EMC, and safety testing.
• Review and approve electrical deliverables such as schematics, PCB layouts, and test protocols.
• Mentor engineers and guide cross-functional teams to elevate technical capability.
• Identify emerging technologies and design approaches to enhance product performance.
