Job summary

Actalent in Lebanon, TN is seeking a Sr. Electronics Engineer to lead the design, verification, and commercialization of complex electrical systems and electronic medical devices.

You will drive product development with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations, mentor engineers, and ensure designs meet medical device standards.

This permanent role requires U.S. citizenship and offers a pay range of $60.00–$69.71 per hour, with benefits and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in product development.
• Experience designing complex electronic systems including PCB development and embedded hardware.
• Regulatory experience with FDA/IEC and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of electrical systems and PCBs for medical devices.
• Evaluate system-level electrical designs including power, grounding, isolation, and EMI/EMC.
• Perform trade-off analyses balancing performance, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for complex issues.
• Plan and oversee verification activities including functional and environmental testing.
• Review electrical deliverables and provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers to raise overall technical capability.
• Identify emerging technologies to enhance product performance.
