Job summary

ProStaff Workforce Solutionsis seeking an experienced Senior Buyer (Electronic Components) in Richardson, TX to balance cost, quality and delivery across assigned commodities. You will build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage POs to keep manufacturing running smoothly.

The role is direct hire, full-time onsite, with pay rate DoE. You will lead cost-saving initiatives, monitor supplier performance, and ensure continuity through proactive risk management and lifecycle

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain or related field.
7-10 years buying experience in manufacturing, incl. electronic components.
Experience developing commodity sourcing strategy and negotiating terms.
Strong knowledge of total landed cost and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

Own commodity strategy and sourcing approach balancing cost, quality and lead time.
Place and manage POs, track requisitions, and expedite deliveries as needed.
Negotiate favorable pricing, terms and contracts with suppliers.
Manage total landed cost, drive cost savings and process improvements.
Build supplier relationships and manage risk, continuity and lifecycle changes.
