Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. in Northford, CT is seeking an Electronics Equipment Technician to operate and support automated assembly equipment.

You will perform setup, changeovers, startup checks, and routine maintenance while assisting with SMT processes and inspections. The role requires an Associate degree or technical diploma in electronics or related field, plus 2+ years of experience in automated manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in electronics, electromechanical technology, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or related field.
• Typically 2+ years supporting automated manufacturing, electronics assembly, or equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings; follow procedures and use basic diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support electronic assembly equipment per work instructions, safety requirements, and production schedules.
• Perform setup, changeover, startup checks, shutdown, cleaning, material loading, and tooling preparation.
• Support SMT and related processes such as solder paste printing, SPI, placement, reflow, AOI, wave solder, coating, depaneling, inspection, test, and rework.
• Monitor equipment and process conditions; identify alarms, defects, jams, wear, and other signs of instability.
• Respond to production calls and escalations; restore equipment to standard condition within training and authorization.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, calibration checks, filter changes, wear-part replacement, and adjustments per procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, conveyor, feeder, fixture, tooling, and control-system issues using drawings and diagnostics.
