Job summary

NextGen Security, LLC seeks an experienced electronic security service technician in Houston. You will oversee field projects, program systems, activate and commission installations, and service high‑end security devices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years with access control, IDS, and video systems, and can work independently while following local codes and safety standards. Some travel and after‑hours support are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of installing and maintaining enterprise‑level access control, IDS, and video management systems.
• Strong technical/electrical background with safety awareness in complex environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills; able to work autonomously.
• Familiar with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Willingness to travel and respond to after‑hours service calls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field projects, including programming, activation and commissioning.
• Install field devices and service high‑end integrated security systems.
• Travel as needed and respond to after‑hours service requests.
• Maintain strong safety practices, especially in chemical plant environments.
• Operate a company vehicle and coordinate with clients and team members.
