Job summary

NextGen Security, LLC in Houston, TX seeks an electronic security installation technician to install and maintain access control and IDS, with networking know-how. Training begins locally in the Houston region, followed by extensive travel to customer sites across the country.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in electronics or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain enterprise-level access control systems.
• Install and maintain intrusion detection systems (IDS) including fiber and copper.
• Demonstrate networking and IT knowledge in setup and troubleshooting.
• Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills on site.
• Familiarize with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Work safely in a chemical plant environment.
