Qualifications

• Education requirements include High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree.
• 7 years of technical security experience or 4 years with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Licenses: Texas Driver's License; MVR check and driver training if a University vehicle is used.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex programming, upgrades, and maintenance for access control, video, intrusion, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot complex system and network problems; coordinate between Access Control and IR/other resources.
• Lead small to moderate security projects and coordinate with vendors and campus departments.
• Inspect installed security equipment; maintain logs and project reports; estimate costs for system changes.
• Assist in design of new security systems and prepare quotes with vendors.
