Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks an experienced tester to support radiation test facilities and lab-based testing of microelectronics and assemblies. You will operate laser surrogates for radiation environments, own lab safety responsibilities, and serve as deputy laser safety officer for the center.

The role requires familiarity with laser equipment, test benches, data collection, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Some travel and onsite work are required.

Formación

• Associates degree in a technical field; or a high school diploma plus 4 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM area is desirable
• Experience with lab-based test activities, troubleshooting, and data collection

Responsabilidades

• Participate in team discussions to understand test data
• Manage procurement of laboratory equipment and tools
• Perform measurements and collect data on devices or sub-systems
• Travel ~1 week per month to external radiation test facilities
• Maintain lab safety and compliance as a lab owner/DLSO
