Job summary

Maven Robotics in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Technician to speed the development of advanced electromechanical prototype systems. The role focuses on assembly, wiring, fabrication, testing, data collection, and process improvements in a fast-paced lab setting.

You will calibrate equipment, maintain safety standards, and mentor junior staff while helping drive project milestones from concept to proof-of-principle demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on technician experience in testing or R&D.
• Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology.
• Strong CAD and fixture design skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and modify complex electromechanical prototypes and test fixtures.
• Perform high-precision wiring, harness assembly, and crimping.
• Fabricate components using milling, turning, and 3D printing.
• Develop test setups, execute test plans, and troubleshoot systems.
• Record technical data, analyze results, and summarize findings for engineers.
• Identify lab efficiency improvements and write SOPs and work instructions.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment, ensure safety and readiness.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians and operators.
• Maintain robotics lab safety protocols and manage inventory.
