Qualifications

• 7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience; strong in mechanical systems and basic electrical (three-phase).
• Proficient in instrumentation or I&E; able to read manuals, blueprints, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Able to safely work around hazardous chemicals with required PPE; certifications in HVAC, Welding, Electrical, or Instrumentation are a plus.

Overview:

This is a senior role. The Senior Electromechanical Maintenance Technician is an hourly role reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving facility and production equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, solid electrical and instrumentation skills, and the ability to work independently with a high level of safety, reliability, and attention to detail.

The work environment includes exposure to hazardous chemicals, and this role requires the ability to wear a personal respirator and meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs).

What You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Install or relocate equipment, including utilities such as water, compressed air, steam, electrical (three‑phase), hydraulics, and vacuum
• Identify equipment issues and make repairs or extend as needed
• Support production needs and adjust priorities to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS system, using tablets and electronic devices
• Practice safe work habits and ensure proper use of PPE
• Collaborate with and guide mechanics or operators as needed

A Day in the Life:

You’ll start your shift reviewing the day’s priorities and any urgent work orders. After checking in with production, you’ll tackle a mix of troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment adjustments. You may spend part of your day diagnosing an electrical fault, tuning a pneumatic system, or installing a new piece of equipment with the proper utilities. Throughout the shift, you’ll update work orders in the CMMS, communicate status updates to supervisors, and ensure the work area stays clean and safe.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 7‑10 years of industrial maintenance experience with strong skills in:
• Mechanical systems
• Basic electrical systems (including three‑phase)
• Instrumentation or I&E
• Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
• Able to safely work around hazardous chemicals using required PPE
• Certifications (or the ability to certify) in one or more of the following:
• HVAC (Universal)
• Welding
• Commercial or Industrial Electrical
• Instrumentation, or I&E

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to wear a respirator when required
