Job summary

Turnover Labs, a Brooklyn-based startup, seeks an Electrochemical Engineer to design, assemble, and optimize CO2 electrolysis cells. You will independently test new designs, troubleshoot issues, and push performance toward commercial-scale operation.

The role requires hands-on electrolyzer experience, MEA fabrication, and strong electrochemical knowledge, with multiple preferred tools and safety protocols. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a relevant field plus hands-on experience with electrolyzers or fuel cells.
• Hands-on work assembling full electrochemical cells and diagnosing operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, and optimize CO2 electrolysis cells.
• Conduct independent research to test new electrolyzer designs and components.
• Troubleshoot problems and improve system operation to meet targets.
• Diagnose abnormalities and execute action plans to achieve performance metrics.
