nLIGHT-DEFENSE Systems, Inc. in Longmont, CO is seeking Electro-Optical Engineers with 5+ years of EO experience to join our team dedicated to High Energy Laser and adaptive optical systems. This onsite role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and the ability to secure a U.S.

DoD security clearance. You will design, develop, integrate, and test HEL weapon systems, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and support field tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electro-optical experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance.
• Experience with design, development, integration and test of HEL/EO systems.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, and software integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, Development, Integration, and Test for High Energy Laser Weapon System and/or HEL Beam Control System.
• Responsibilities include hardware integration and test as well as data processing and preparation of performance and test documentation.
• Responsible for development of test setups to evaluate performance parameters.
• Work with team to execute complex integration activities.
• Support field tests.
