Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Lead Technician, Electrical/Mechanical Designer in Carlsbad, CA. Responsibilities include creating and releasing product drawings, MBDefinition, and documentation. You will support multiple engineering disciplines and mentor junior designers.

A TS clearance and ASME Y14.5 expertise are required. Windchill PDMLink experience is essential, with Creo/NX/SolidWorks skills preferred.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of Windchill 10.2+ PDMLink systems.
High level of experience with ASME Y14.5-2009 or greater Geometric Tolerancing principles.

Responsibilities

Create, revise, and release product documentation artifacts including drawings and Model Based Definition.
Release engineering product documentation in a timely manner.
Help engineers create drawings conforming to MIL-PRF-13830 and ISO 10110 standards.
Support documentation artifacts conforming to ASME Y14.5-2009 or greater Geometric Tolerancing principles.
Utilize Windchill PDMLink and Enovia PDM tools for data release and revision tracking.
Mentor new designers and engineers in design documentation release procedures.
