Job summary

Launching Point is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Carlsbad, CA to design, develop, and qualify complex mechanical systems, including precision mechanisms and electro‑mechanical assemblies. You will own significant components and work within a multidisciplinary team in a lab‑driven environment.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling, hardware development, and lifecycle support from concepts through testing. This onsite role requires US citizenship and active TS clearance, with hands‑on work in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree reduces required years.
• Active TS/SCI w Poly security clearance; US citizenship is required.
• Experience in design or development of precision mechanisms, mechatronics, or packaging.
• Proficient in CAD tools and hands-on hardware development in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify complex mechanical systems and assemblies.
