Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Electro Mechanical Design Engineer - Plant to optimize design and manufacturability of balance-of-plant equipment. You will produce complex schematics, 3D models, and detailed mechanical prints, ensuring coverage from shipping to field service.

You will define testing requirements and drive engineering changes within the product lifecycle management system. You will collaborate with Electronics, Software, and Project Engineering teams, own component selection, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of circuit fundamentals and thermal/mechanical considerations at high power density.
• Proficiency with Altium, Eplan, and SolidWorks Electrical for design.
• Experience with SolidWorks CAD for 3D layouts and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Identify electrical requirements and define system interfaces for power conversion equipment and plant systems.
• Author electrical schematics for build, test, installation and service.
• Select off-the-shelf electromechanical components and coordinate with supply chain to optimize cost and lead times.
• Design cabinet packaging and 3D layouts to optimize space, cable routing, and thermal management.
• Generate manufacturing documentation including diagrams, layouts, harness drawings, and ICDs.
• Create testing plans and procedures for functional, performance, and End-of-Line verification.
• Lead prototype testing and validation with software and project engineering teams.
• Develop environmental and electrical stress tests for reliability assessment.
• Manage configuration, releases, and BOMs in PLM systems.
• Support field deployment and commissioning with hands-on involvement.
