Econolite Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Assembly Technician to oversee electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and training of technicians for its market-leading traffic controller and related electronics products.

The role involves managing scheduling, ensuring quality, and driving on-time production while coordinating with Quality Control and repair teams. A strong background in soldering micro-electronics and leading production teams is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in electro-mechanical product assembly and testing.
• Minimum 2 years as a production lead or supervisor.
• Minimum 3 years of soldering micro-electronics.
• Technical training and certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Dexterity with hand tools, hand soldering equipment, and other electronic assembly tools.
• Proficiency in following documented work instructions and attention to detail.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office and other software).
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train electro-mechanical assemblers and testers in building and testing electronic products.
• Follow documented work instructions to perform assembly, testing, burn-in testing, and packaging; attach correct labels and maintain test records.
• Manage scheduling and workflow; delegate and monitor daily activities; generate end-of-day production reports.
• Maintain high-quality production with urgency and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Quality Control and repair/warranty personnel; participate in ISO audits.
• Provide feedback for employee performance reviews and drive team performance.
