Job summary

Core Scientific in Pecos, Texas seeks a Journeyman Electrician with at least seven years in the electrical trade to diagnose, maintain, and repair data center equipment.

You will perform lighting and battery maintenance, install wiring per NEC, coordinate with the team, and travel minimally between data centers; on-site hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Formal vocational training in electrical fundamentals required.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade.
• Valid electrical/contractor license and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform lighting preventative maintenance.
• Perform battery maintenance and inverter testing for battery backups.
• Carry out rack moves, deployments and decommissioning tasks.
• Repair and maintain electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures per NEC and local codes.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective maintenance.
• Plan wiring layout based on blueprints and specifications.
• Test circuits using meters and continuity checks.
• Support team scheduling and material requisition.
