Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems across Houston-area locations including TX Medical Center. You will travel to multiple campuses and work Thursday through Sunday shifts as scheduled.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to alarms, coordinating with technicians, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
• One year post-journeyman experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including normal and emergency power.
• Prepare requisitions and stock forms for parts and materials.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, transformers, and equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment; provide back-up for other crafts.
