Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Senior Electrician for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM). External candidates may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Perform electrical maintenance on plant utility and process infrastructure, read schematics, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems to keep production running smoothly. Minimum 4–6 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, journeyman license, and strong safety adherence are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from trade/technical school in related discipline preferred.
• 4–6 years electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Electrician journeyman license or location-specific license; master electrician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical parts, equipment and systems.
• Replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed drives as needed.
• Work on electrical equipment including VFDs, contactors, sensors, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot control networks, PLC devices, HMI, VFD, and servo systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and distribution systems.
• Train operators and minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain safety and comply with state/federal regulations and GMPs.
• Record maintenance data in SAP or similar system.
