Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, CA seeks a Sr Automation Engineer, Test and Validation to join the LV Test & Validation team. You will design and implement automated test scripts for DV/DVT, build a unified test system, and develop embedded software to streamline ECU testing.

You will collaborate with test engineers to create robust test plans, procure equipment, debug issues, and analyze complex data using C/C++, Python and LabVIEW in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing and deploying fully automated test scripts for DV/DVT.
• Strong HW/SW testing background including environmental, electrical, and functional validation.
• Ability to review schematics and develop embedded software to control defined functions.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and protocols: Ethernet/IP, CAN, SPI, I2C, LIN, RS-232, Gigabit Ethernet, FPd-Link.
• Embedded software experience with chipsets such as NXP.
• Proficiency with measurement automation tools and scripting languages: C/C++, Python, LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI test environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing/implementing automated test scripts for DV/DVT test cases.
• Design and own a unified automated test system to control load simulators, thermal chambers, power supplies, DAQ units and other equipment.
• Develop embedded test software for in-house test simulator to streamline ECU testing.
• Support/test engineers to develop plans, procure equipment, debugging, and analyze complex test data.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (MS preferred)
