Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks an Electrical Testing Specialist III to ensure the quality and compliance of electrical power systems in our laboratory and at customer sites. You will perform functional and final acceptance testing on electrical panels, interpret schematics, install relay settings, and upgrade firmware while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in testing electrical equipment.
• NFPA and OSHA safety certifications.
• Advanced understanding of 3-phase power and relaying devices.
• Expertise in relay test software and programming firmware.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Leadership and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing and final acceptance testing on electrical panels and related equipment.
• Interpret schematics and customer standards to simulate conditions.
• Use testing equipment to inject voltages/currents while protecting equipment.
• Collaborate with Customers in plant and field to meet requirements.
• Install Customer-provided relay settings and upgrade relay firmware.
• Assist engineering in updating wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Guide production resources to apply power safely.
• Ensure processes and documentation comply with quality procedures.
• Provide mentoring and training for Level I and II Electrical Testing Engineers.
• Develop and maintain standard work procedures for new equipment/Customer requirements.
• Work safely around energized equipment and follow safety protocols.
