Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Electrical Test Engineer for the AI Satellites (Starmind) program to design and implement automated test systems for space-grade hardware. You will select hardware, build PCBA test setups, and write Python scripts to validate performance under flight-like conditions.

Applicants should have 5+ years in hardware test engineering, a BSEE, and experience with test equipment and reliability analysis. Remote work is not indicated; ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5+ years in hardware development or test engineering.
• Preferred Master’s degree and strong background with PCBAs, test plans, and reliability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test solutions for space-grade hardware.
• Select COTS hardware or design custom PCBAs for measurement and testing.
• Write Python automation software to control tests and data collection.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test lab teams to improve reliability and yield.
• Challenge assumptions and implement simple, robust solutions.
