Job summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking a highly skilled engineer to conduct complex integration and testing of electronic systems for maritime defense applications. You will train and mentor junior staff, interpret schematics, and document results in engineering and quality systems.

Work involves field testing, up to 15% travel, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet project goals while maintaining safety and configuration control.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required in electrical engineering technology or related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in building, assembling, wiring, and testing electronic systems, modules, and prototypes for maritime defense applications.
• Perform electrical testing, data collection, instrumentation setup, and troubleshooting of circuits and components.
• Conduct verification, validation, and functional checks according to test plans and engineering procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering drawings.
• Document results, test setups, and system configurations using Ultra’s engineering and quality systems.
• Maintain equipment, organize lab workspaces, and enforce safety and configuration control practices.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to support project goals.
• Travel up to 15% for field testing, training, and customer support.
