Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Maintenance/Electrical Supervisor to plan, schedule, and direct daily maintenance activities for electricians, instrument technicians, and contractors at the Massillon mill. The role includes consultations on maintenance and staffing issues to support uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities involve coordinating with Engineering on capital projects, supervising the Electrical Department, and maintaining records; a strong focus on safety, cost

Qualifications

• BSEE/BSEET preferred; minimum three years training in electrical field beyond high school.
• Four years minimum experience in electrical power distribution, distributed control systems, PLCs and drives; paper industry experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; engineering knowledge; leadership and interpersonal skills.
• OSHA Industrial Safety Training; knowledge of electrical operations; willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade electrical systems to improve process reliability.
• Coordinate with Engineering to ensure capital projects consider maintenance needs.
• Supervise personnel in the Electrical Department.
• Process repair parts and supplies requisitions.
• Administer company policies and programs for performance, safety and morale of staff.
• Promote safety programs and educate workers on safe methods.
• Assist in cost estimates for work orders and annual budgets.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance records for equipment and buildings.
• Coordinate with outside contractors.
