Job summary

PCA's Massillon mill seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to plan, schedule and direct daily maintenance activities for electricians and technicians. You will collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to keep plant equipment reliable and safe.

The role requires a BSEE/BSEET or equivalent, at least four years in electrical power distribution and controls, plus leadership skills. Starting salary ranges from $96,000 to $144,000 plus comprehensive benefits; on-site, with

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and direct daily maintenance for electricians, instrument techs and contractors.
• Work with engineering to ensure capital projects meet maintenance needs.

• Administer policies on performance, training, safety and morale.

General Summary

Plan, schedule and direct daily maintenance activities for electricians, instrument technicians and contractors. Available for consultations and assistance with maintenance or staffing issues throughout the mill.

Prerequisites

Education: BSEE/BSEET Preferred. Minimum of three (3) years training in electrical field beyond high school.

Work Experience: Four (4) years minimum of work experience in electrical power distribution, distributed control systems, PLC's and drives, prefer paper industry experience.

Skills: Possess written & verbal communication skills & engineering knowledge. Possess industrial electrical/mechanical skills. Possess leadership skills and interpersonal skills.

Training: Knowledge of electrical operations. PLC, VFD, Industrial Controls. OSHA Industrial Safety Training.

Other: Must be committed to safe work procedures and activities. Available to work extended hours and weekends.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to...

1. 1 Upgrade existing electrical systems and improve process reliability by electrical improvements.
2. 2 Work closely with Engineering to ensure capital projects are installed with Maintenance concerns included.
3. 3 Supervise the activities of all personnel assigned to the Electrical Department.
4. 4 Issue direct and storeroom requisitions for repair parts & supplies necessary to perform Electrical Maintenance work.
5. 5 Direct the administration of company policy & programs pertaining to the performance, training, safety & morale of all personnel under his supervision.
6. 6 Cooperate in the establishment & continuance of a safety program to educate the workers in safe work methods & have a comprehensive knowledge of possible safety hazards in the mill.
7. 7 Assist in preparing cost estimates for work orders & capital jobs & in preparation of the annual departmental operating & capital budgets.
8. 8 Maintain accurate & up-to-date maintenance records & information on all machinery, equipment & buildings.
9. 9 Coordinate activities with outside contractors working.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary range for position: $96,000 to $144,000 annually
• Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
