Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Chester, Virginia is seeking a full-time Electrical Superintendent for Data Center projects.

You will plan, supervise, and direct electrical installation teams, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget control on hyperscale data center environments. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in electrical construction supervision, a journeyman license or engineering degree, and experience with large $20M–$100M projects.

Qualifications

• Current State Electrical Journeyman License or 4 year engineering degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision.
• Experience with industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center environments.
• Hyperscale data center experience preferred.
• Experience with $20M-$100M electrical projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain
• Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control, and supervision
• Ability to perform takeoffs and pricing for changes orders
• Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
• Pass pre-employment background and MVR checks

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and direct personnel involved in installation of electrical systems.
• Ensure work is safe, on schedule, and within budget.
• Maintain a culture of safety and quality first.
• Understand project design, drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Work with Project Management on buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor and train field supervision and tradesmen.
• Perform takeoffs and pricing for change orders and related work.
• Evaluate productivity and adjust schedules to optimize efficiency.
