Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks an experienced electrical engineer to join our team in Plano, TX.

You will design and optimize utility-scale renewable projects (wind, solar, storage), conduct comprehensive electrical studies, and guide junior engineers. You will model systems, perform short-circuit, load-flow, harmonics, insulation coordination, and transient analyses, and deliver written reports to clients.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree with power systems coursework.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
• 7 years of electrical plant design, operation, and power systems studies.
• 5 years in utility-scale renewable plant design, modeling, and analysis.
• Experience includes protection and control, renewable designs, and interconnection studies.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and optimization of utility-scale renewable plants (wind, solar, battery).Develop electrical models and studies to support project design and interconnection requirements.Produce written reports summarizing study results within project schedules.Mentor junior studies engineers and coordinate with clients and project teams.
